To date, there are more than over<br \/>\n100 endowed scholarships at U of D Jesuit, allowing the school to award<br \/>\naround $3.5 million in scholarships annually. The team uses Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT<br \/>\nespecially when donors name a specific scholarship and want to open it for<br \/>\nothers to contribute. One gentleman started an endowed scholarship in his<br \/>\nlate wife\u2019s name and told all his business contacts and friends about it. \u201cHis<br \/>\noutreach spurred over $400,000 for the scholarship fund, which is also the<br \/>\ngift total amount of a fully funded named scholarship,\u201d Gumbel said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nWith an influx of new donors now added to their database because they<br \/>\ndonated to this specific fund, the team leverages the ability to create<br \/>\ndifferent solicit codes and marks them appropriately. U of D Jesuit can easily convert the typical graduating class of 180<br \/>\nstudents into new alum contacts and use Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT\u2019s capabilities to<br \/>\nseamlessly continue engaging with them and their parents post-graduation.<br \/>\nA relatively new fundraising approach for U of D Jesuit is offering donors the<br \/>\noption to make recurring gifts, which is encouraged in every mailing. Within<br \/>\na few years, the number of donors committed to recurring gifts has reached<br \/>\nnearly 50. \u201cHaving the ability to pay via Venmo and PayPal as an option<br \/>\nthrough Blackbaud has helped our efforts gain traction,\u201d Gumbel said.<br \/>\nThe insights available in Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT informs U of D Jesuit\u2019s outreach<br \/>\nstrategy.
