I learned a lot as we adjusted the system to reflect our needs and priorities, and I am grateful that we worked as a team.\u201d<\/h4>\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"pull-quote__wrapper-name\">\n                Lyubka Kabakova-Ryahova            <\/div>\n                            <div class=\"pull-quote__wrapper-role\">\n                    Database Manager                <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n    <\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"wysiwyg wysiwyg-white white-bg\" id=\"wysiwyg-block_43e3334df7a1775f0569624eea923377\">\n            <h3>Realizing the Reporting Power of Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT<\/h3>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">Kabakova-Ryahova accepted a promotion to the role of database manager as<br \/>\nthe development team was re-organised one and a half years ago. \u201cWhen I<br \/>\nstarted this position,\u201d she said, \u201cI realised there was something missing<br \/>\nbetween the system and the team and that we needed to elevate how we use<br \/>\nRaiser\u2019s Edge NXT to prepare for future campaigns.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nReviewing business goals and system usage with her expert Blackbaud<br \/>\nCustomer Success manager enabled her to better leverage the purpose-built<br \/>\ncapabilities of Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT and streamline the team\u2019s workflows to<br \/>\nsimplify and tailor reporting while rectifying processes that had become<br \/>\nredundant or unnecessarily complex.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nOne change alone\u2014restructuring their gift codes\u2014has probably been the<br \/>\nmost significant improvement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nGuildhall had adopted Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT 17 years earlier and over time<br \/>\ncreated over 300 gift codes for appeals due to a practice of creating a<br \/>\nseparate code each year for each recurring annual appeal. The development<br \/>\nteam found it difficult to decipher the codes without assistance from the<br \/>\ndatabase manager and turning the numbers into narrative storytelling had<br \/>\nbecome a daunting task.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nNow, the entry for an annual appeal represents the complete history for<br \/>\nthat appeal, and the team uses filters built into the system to view records<br \/>\nin a variety of ways, including by year. \u201cWe have cut the gift codes for<br \/>\nappeals down from 327 to 12,\u201d explained Kabakova-Ryahova. Similarly,<br \/>\nthey reduced the number of gift codes for funds from 120 to 32, and for<br \/>\ncampaigns from 34 to 5. \u201cIt became so much easier and quicker to pull and<br \/>\nanalyze reports after we did these updates.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nWith the improvements, members of the development team have the<br \/>\nfreedom to access the critical insights they need for their stewardship and<br \/>\nfundraising plans. While fundraisers can utilize the system on their own, she<br \/>\nalso provides regular and ad-hoc reports to support their analysis, helping<br \/>\nthem track their performance and make informed decisions. She has also heard \u201cgood feedback<br \/>\nfrom the head of development.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nIn addition to the improvements with gift codes and reporting, Kabakova Ryahova and her Blackbaud Customer Success manager worked to make<br \/>\nGuildhall\u2019s management of Gift Aid more robust, agile and compatible with<br \/>\nUK restrictions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nThey also organised a solution overview with a Blackbaud functional<br \/>\nexpert for the development team so they could see all the possibilities<br \/>\navailable through Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT and how they could further tap into<br \/>\nthe database, reporting, and stewardship and fundraising automation<br \/>\nworkflows themselves.<\/p>\n<p class=\"body-medium\">\nAs Kabakova-Ryahova led these changes, she sought input from her team<br \/>\nabout what they wanted in the system, not only for their daily work but<br \/>\nalso future campaigns. When she brought this feedback to her Blackbaud<br \/>\nCustomer Success manager, she found someone committed to adapting the<br \/>\nflexible capabilities of Raiser\u2019s Edge NXT to meet her
